#MyMassTakeaway: Hot potato. . Our pastor gave an amazing homily about the Church being the Bride of Christ and the invitation to truth. But the thing that stuck with me most was: . "Truth is like a hot potato. You're not supposed to hold on to it. Were meant to live it and pass it on." . Sometimes it's hard to pass on the Truth. Either because I'm afraid to or because the other person rejects it. But I have to keep trying. . I have to persevere. Its my life's calling. Its what God calls all of us to. He loves us. He wants us to live with Him forever, celebrating at the Heavenly Banquet. . Truth. . Pass it on. . #MySundayBest with @rosiehill425
Thoughts from my blogging friends:
Baby’s first mass! And car ride! And second time outside! It felt good to be back at mass again. It makes the whole week feel off if I miss mass on Sunday. Matt was great and brought me the Eucharist last week, but there is still something special about getting to be present at mass. Felicity mostly slept through her first mass. At least she was comfortable there! 👶💤 #mysundaybest with @rosiehill425
This is a photo of my father and his father, best guess circa 1948. Dad was born in 1930, the third of four children born and raised in the midst of the Great Depression. I couldn't help but be reminded of his parents during mass today, especially as we listened to the 2nd reading: "In every circumstance and in all things, I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of living in abundance and of being in need. I can do all things in Him who strengthens me." #mymasstakeaway #mysundaybest (except not really 😉)
I want to know your Mass Takeaway too! Comment with your thoughts on the readings, your pastor’s homily, or anything that struck you during your time at Mass.
